…and an “invitation“ is at the beginning of something.
At the beginning of a relationship there is an agreement (expressed or latent) that you will work to keep
that relationship healthy. In this case, we have been told how to keep good relations: “observe my commandments”.

And we repent each time when infract, and work to turn around.

Ok so you agree with me for the most part

What’s the point here? :mjlol:

Your definition of “work” is different than mine.:manny:

And REPENTANCE is the original action of acknowledging you need forgiveness, and changing and turning your life around and following Gods will.

You might be repenting 24/7 based on what you do, but that’s your life and your business :hubie:

Hopefully you get to the point where your faith is strong enough to have a better relationship with Jesus

@Taadow & @Yagirlcheatinonus go ahead and watch this video

Also @2 Up 2 Down might as well watch

It’s not me but he literally says everything I been saying and even more in a clear way

Not sure how anyone can disagree with the points made and he seems genuine

Especially what he said about knowledge at the 22:22 mark is spot on with how people today are modern day Gnostics

Like I always say, former Orthodox Jews , Muslims and now Hebrew Israelites always make the strongest Christians because they really come to know the WRONG teachings and have a strong frame of reference to understanding what is correct when it comes to reading & understanding scripture on a deeper level

To the king, my lord and my Sun: Thus Lab'ayu, your servant and the dirt on which you tread. I fall at the feet of the king, my lord and my Sun, 7 times and 7 times. I have obeyed the orders that the king wrote to me. Who am I that the king should lose his land on account of me?

Clearly. But if we both agree about something, but we execute that belief in a different way then one of us is wrong about that belief.
Isn’t it important to get that straight?

And REPENTANCE is the original action of acknowledging you need forgiveness, and changing and turning your life around and following Gods will.

No - Repentance is the continuous doing of that, based on the idea that is only possible because of Jesus sacrifice.

You might be repenting 24/7 based on what you do, but that’s your life and your business :hubie:

Exactly. A person might be repenting 24/7 based on what they do…but they better do it, if they want to continue good relations with God.
This is why the Bible talks about “works that befit Repentance”.

Yea but the point of life isn’t to “repent 24/7” you might as well pray 5 times a day religiously like the Muslims and be a robot

If you envision a Slave/master, legalistic works based relationship with God then that’s on you.

Go be a monk and live excluded in a mountain with other religious extremists if you seek perfection

Freedom in Jesus gives peace of mind and wisdom on how to live life according to his will not the ability to “never sin”

You gotta listen to what the guy says in the video about this

Isn't the point of being a Christian to strive to be like Jesus Christ? It seems like someone telling her all she has to do is believe in Christ did her a disservice and if this is common, it kinda explains why so many Christians are so un-Christlike. Just my two cents.

There's not a lot of room for interpretation.

There's a lot of personalities in the church.

That's what causes a lot of divides

This is stupid.

Not what she posted, that's her spiritual journey. It's this thread.

I am close to several people who were raised 7th Day Adventist. I am not. (Nor will I ever be, for multiple reasons.)

I have been to several Adventist churches, fellowshipped with them, and have listened to many Adventist sermons.

To claim that they generally don't preach the main Gospel message is false.

The girl who posted this either went to a concerningly terrible church, or she's lying for internet clout.

I dunno where the disconnect is but she’s pretty clear with her point

The “gospel” is simple. Not much wiggle room for “interpretation” or variations

The problem from the beginning was holding on to old ways of thinking and being blind to Jesus message/purpose

You can tell she’s not “trolling” or “crazy” if you go through her videos

She just had a sudden realization that churches (preachers/church members) lie to their congregation because their lack of understanding, group think and sheep like mentality

Everyone has their own walk with God. all you need to do is read the Bible for yourself
