I get it. Homelessness needs to be addressed. I’m seeing way more homeless people in my neighborhood over the last couple of years that I’m all the 10 years I’ve been living in this neighborhood.

homeless people creep me out if I’m being honest. Every December I give to food pantries, Salvation Army and Goodwill to ease my guilt.

According to the article they will be helping to shelter them and offer mental health services. If they actually follow through then it doesn't sound bad.
How is that going to look? What happens when someone declines the offer for these services?

I'm genuinely curious cause everyone's situation is different and some of these people aren't trying to get help

Where are they gonna put the homeless? This isn't gonna solve the problem. Just kicking the can down the road instead of getting to the root of the issue and trying to provide help.

Build better, more secure shelters and affordable housing. Invest in community welfare programs. Increase availability of these programs and tighten-up on the oversight.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

So many ways to tackle this issue without police involvement.

None of that is going to work… 15 percent may be legit mentally ill….. but the majority of the homeless wanna be homeless or just low functioning dope fiends….. in most cases and in most cities…. shyt may vary in big cities

Sad it took for Adams to solve this problem, but the way he worded it and demonized the homeless sounded bad in his part.

Most will decline the services in one way or another, or either use the services as a short term come up without the intention of getting right and seeking long term shelter or employment

Homeless problem on the rail occurred because they eliminated the conductor.
Then cried wolf like they still were not making money. Now this move seems like another goverment handout check ploy plot.
Where the rail system goes further down the shytter.
Plus every other rapid transit firm follows suit with what nyc does.
So nuffin will be fixed. Just more rapid transit goevernment dollars based fraud.
Where it gets authenicated erroneously.
From other rapid transit firms.
Trying to emulate the nyc rapid transit government theft system handout.
