One of that is going to work… 15 percent may be legit mentally ill….. but the majority of the homeless wanna be homeless or just low functioning dope fiends….. in most cases and in most cities…. shyt may vary in big cities

The majority of homeless people are families and children, not mentally ill people who wanna be homeless and drug addicts. That population is the chronically homeless, a different beast than the majority that requires a different approach to rectify.

Homeless problem on the rail occurred because they eliminated the conductor.
Then cried wolf like they still were not making money. Now this move seems like another goverment handout check ploy plot.
Where the rail system goes further down the shytter.
Plus every other rapid transit firm follows suit with what nyc does.
So nuffin will be fixed. Just more rapid transit goevernment dollars based fraud.
Where it gets authenicated erroneously.
From other rapid transit firms.
Trying to emulate the nyc rapid transit government theft system handout.

Most NYC Subway trains still have a conductor, they tried to eliminate the conductor position on the L line years ago but the Union put a stop to that. Only the smaller trains in terms of length like the shuttles and the weekend G don't have conductors, every other line in the system does.

Well, let me say this… I participated in a homeless ministry for 3 years and it was very enlightening…. Needless to say, a significant amount were very capable in functioning in normal society but chose not too for their own reasons….. and on top of that, it’s an issue you have to be spiritually compelled to tackle, or have leftover emotional equity outside of your own personal circle to invest

:hhh:The homeless people will just go somewhere else? Yes

:hubie:Where? Who cares

This is why these initiatives are terrible and the people in favor of them are also a$$holes
definition of out of sight out of mind

Nobody cared about the wellbeing nd living conditions of the homeless until people started getting they azz stepped on

It’s obvious OP don’t live in NYC or take public transportation and having to deal with bums

I was on the C train when I posted this, dumbass:mjlol:

and in the past 24 hours I've sprinted to the next cart to avoid the stench in one, slid to the next cart to get away from a barefoot nikka coughing all over one, and watched a whole crowd of people literally run from car to car to stay away from one dude who was walking through carts grunting at people

but I don't whine about that shyt like a cac or a girl

maybe I was just raised with compassion for my people;we know the homeless are overwhelmingly black

maybe, because I was born and raised here, I know kicking people out of the Subway without improved programs/treatment isn't going to help them or the city because they're not vanishing into thin air

maybe, I know what happens when you give the NYPD a green light with anything

So what solutions you have for getting rid of the homeless in the subways and on trains?

You ever been waiting for the train at 1 in the morning for like 45 mins and when the train finally get in the station you see the car with empty seats and soon as you get on to sit down and telex the train door close and next thing you start smelling some stink shyt and look over towards the end of the train car and it’s a shanty town of bums all huddled in the corner? Now it’s too late to get off the train and you got to smell that stink shyt for like 5 -6 stops on the express line? Yeah man you have no idea smh

nah never happened to me..

because that's the first thing I check for when I see an empty cart, every time:umad:

seriously though, I wish I had the solution. there should be better mental health treatment, and better shelters, and conditions that don't make these people bugged out and crazy in the first place. but until then, I can't begrudge people for staying the one place they can find that's warm and dry :yeshrug:you can't make them vanish into thin air
