Start within your own community. Donate, volunteer or get a job that allows you to be around the youth. They can still be molded, unlike most of us who are already stuck in our ways. They can be influenced enough so that when they come of age, they're better prepared to deal with ws, and fight it. When the youth see you in the community, and feel you care about them, they're more likely to hear what you have to say. We can all pass on some knowledge we've picked up from the informative threads, our parents, and books we've come across.
Most of us are in our early 20s-mid 30s.. Some of us have children, bills, and other distractions so its easier to talk that talk, than to walk that walk. So if you can't walk the walk, you can contribute by either donating, investing, or purchasing from Black people in your community. Once you've established a relationship, you can see where their minds are at and if their on your level on consciousness. If they not, put them onto people like Dr. Umar Johnson (his school,

http://harvestinstitute.org/, and his lectures), Michelle Alexander, Richard Sherman (
entertainers have pull, and hes the most visible, outspoken, articulate, relatable, pro-black athlete I seen in a while; and has been on point up to June 15th 2014), Bryan Stevenson, Michael Dyson, and I'm missing a lot more. Donate to these types of people and their causes. Instead of buying 40 dollar shirt from the non black store, donate or invest in one of your own. We don't even need to agree with everything the aforementioned says, but there are always jewels we can pick up. These jewels have a better affect on us (mainly the youth and uniformed) than listening to our brothers and sisters rap about killing each other, glorifying materialism, selfishness, and all the other mainstream bs they pin on us.
Theres a time and place for everything. I'm a hypocrite because I bump some of the same shyt I just called bs a paragraph ago. But I know I'm not really about that life, but I can't speak for everybody. I enjoy it for what it is, and I balance the types of music, and general media i take in anyway. Teach that to the youth too. Its ok to have fun, but theres a limit, and think about the kind of fun you're having. Yea you can fukk hoes, but dont call every woman a hoe. And for every song you bump that produces negative images of women, make sure you put them on something positive, that shows GOOD women in a positive light. Its the little things... Promote the positive images so the youth in community see it as cool to have respect for women who deserve it
Get in the spaces of influence. Get into the schools, police force, law. Start having bi weekly, or monthly meetings with people who think and feel the same as you do. Promote what you can control, and decide how you want your communities kids to be raised. What profession are you going to guide them to? Don't let them hang around c00ns, but teach them about the c00ns and bendwenches so they know not everybody is about that pro-black life... Which brings me to my next point.
Dont teach or promote hatred. Teach caution and respect. Teach group economics and the spirit of competition. LEt them know we started at level 2 in chains, while some at level 5 with freedom, and the rest started at level 10 with wealth. Show them how we're still the most feared, hated, and envied because we consistently show that with the opportunity, we match and surpass the rest in all different types of fields. They need to box us, and compare our worst to their best just to make themselves feel better, and in control. Show the youth how specific African nations used to do it before our ancestors got caught slippin. Show them the jedi mind-tricks that have been played on us for the last 400-500 years, and how it affects us.
There a lot more, and i been rambling for a minute now so ill wrap it up here.. Our world wont be saved off a few threads and well wishes, but we can certainly start with the little things. Build foundations and put the people we need to represent us, in positions to do so ( with money, protection, love). But more importantly, represent yourself and be the change that you want to see.
