Unless you live in a state where lottery winners can be completely anonymous, good luck with the theory thinking that no one in your family would know you had won millions/billions from a lottery prize.

You don't have to live in the state I believe, as long as you bought it there :youngsabo:

  • [The first thing you should do is] hire a tax attorney.
  • Don’t take the lump sum. You don’t want to blow it all in one spot.
  • If you weren’t happy yesterday, you won’t be happy tomorrow. It’s money. It’s not happiness.
  • If you were happy yesterday, you are going to be a lot happier tomorrow. It’s money. Life gets easier when you don’t have to worry about the bills.
  • Tell all your friends and relatives no. They will ask. Tell them no. If you are close to them, you already know who needs help and what they need. Feel free to help SOME, but talk to your accountant before you do anything and remember this, no one needs $1 million for anything. No one needs $100,000 for anything. Anyone who asks is not your friend.
  • You don’t become a smart investor when you win the lottery. Don’t make investments. You can put it in the bank and live comfortably. Forever. You will sleep a lot better knowing you won’t lose money.

  What about my army of virginal Brazilian dimes?

lets say u make out with 800 mil after taxes when u win

and u buy ur own stocks at an average price of 50 and the average dividend it pays out is 30 cents a share

every 3 months u would get a 4.8 mil (pre tax) dividend check

times 4 is 19.2 million

so lets say that for each year u would make in (after tax) 12 mil in dividend income (and spend it all)

it would take you roughly 16.66 years to make an extra 200 million

now if you didnt spend it all it would take u less than 15 years to make it to being a billionaire

and thats just accounting for monies made from dividends, im not talking about stock price movement or an increase in dividends

Wouldn't even know what I would feel if I had that much money in my account.

First of all, no worries about bills is the number one thing that would transform you.:blessed:

Hiring experienced dudes who deal with rich people's money everyday isn't bad though.

Oh and dealing with people around you and beyond is going to be the biggest negative of it all. :to:

Mark Cuban isn't even smart. He got lucky. Hate when this dude tries to give advice like he knows something other people don't
He's flipped his money way more than once for it to be "luck".

Once with micro solutions to become a millionaire, then with broadcast, then with the Mavericks. That's more than just "luck"

:jawalrus: Correct!

1. Buy your ticket in a state that doesn't require you to come forward.
"The best thing a person can do is buy a ticket in one of the six states that don't require you to come forward," Marty King, partner with law firm Gorman & Williams in Maryland, told TODAY. "That means you won't have to go to the press conference with the big oversized check and show your face." Those states are Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina. If you live near one of these states, King recommends crossing the border to buy your ticket because the rules apply depending on where you buy it, not where you live."

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
The downside of winning is the blood-sucking leeches that will pop up. All your old boys, all your exes, all your family, all your old-coworkers, everybody will be asking you for something.

Where's the downside? They're a changed phone number away from not existing :russ:

I have a small family, I know who been around and who hasnt, shyt would be lightwork for me.

Sounds good. Until they put you on that Summer Jam screen. There's a rumor on teh innawebs that they'll trying to propose a new bill that promises anonymity for a price. So basically extortion.
Would still take it. :wow:

Being thrust into that sort of money depending on your situation could be fukking crazy. There's fukked up people out there.

From living average to a nearly billionaire. Imagine the fukkery.
