I work in the health department and Herpes is so common that it doesn't get tested for unless you ask for it.
I know nothing about it, but I remember her saying something that as long as she was on meds and had no recent outbreaks condom sex was "safe"
Yea she tried to justify it by saying she was angry blah blah, shortly after that we stopped being friends
Worst part was that (and I know this going to sound dumb) but she was a very "clean" looking chick, did no drugs, didn't party hard, graduate school etc etc

Herpes is alot more common than most of ya'll think. I guarantee everybody here knows someone with Herpes. They just don't know it. shyt, most of the people that have it don't know themselves. That's because alot of people don't show the symptoms or have any outbreaks.
Plus you don't get tested for it automatically. A standard STD test does not include Herpes. You either have to specifically ask to get tested for it, or they'll recommend you to get tested for it if you describe the symptoms you're having and they match that of Herpes.
