Herpes is alot more common than most of ya'll think. I guarantee everybody here knows someone with Herpes. They just don't know it. shyt, most of the people that have it don't know themselves. That's because alot of people don't show the symptoms or have any outbreaks.

Plus you don't get tested for it automatically. A standard STD test does not include Herpes. You either have to specifically ask to get tested for it, or they'll recommend you to get tested for it if you describe the symptoms you're having and they match that of Herpes.

Plus sometimes it's not even worth getting tested for, because Herpes tests have a history of being very unreliable

I remember asking for it years ago when I used to go to planned parenthood (no insurance, and didn't want to pay he dress for paps), and the Dr told me that since I didn't show any symptoms & didn't engage in unprotected sex, that I didn't need the test. Even when I told her I wanted it done, just for information, she said it wasn't important to know because most people have it.
That was the last time I went there. Next gym I went to had no issue testing me. Even though it came out negative, I don't think it was a wasted because know I KNOW I'm negative, instead of assuming.

For the op, it can be fatal if a baby contracts herpes. Their immune system isn't strong enough to fight it. (If a person has a cold sore they should not kiss a baby)

It's crazy.

But i also know my ex pawg parents had it and her mom got a small thigh pimple once a year.

But some people get one pimple which is an outbreak and they never ever think twice about it cause it isn't what we grew up thinking it was (dikk looking like a nestle crunch bar) Lol
