Hitting Pit Bulls after they bite is the WORST thing to do once they bite down, it increases aggressiveness. You have to put them in a chokehold. The grip will weaken as they start to lose consciousness and you'll be able pull them off.
Most people don't have the acumen required to raise Pit Bulls in first place. That dog shouldn't be as common as it is.

People want these tough aggressive dogs because it makes them feel tough. Plus it’s a sheep mentality. They see someone with one so they feel like they should get one.
