At this point I feel like whatever the NBA does people will hate it and complain about it. Everything is out there to see, no amount of marketing will make the masses care about OKC VS IND or SGA and Haliburton.

those are completely separate wooden courts though. the LOB on the court was a decal.
Do I need that cartoonish LOB on the court? Not really. We didn't need it before, but at least have a Finals logo somewhere on the court to distinguish it from everything else.

When the Conference Finals are set, the league can manufacture courts for each team in case they reach the Finals. If they can do it for the entire league for the IST no one cares about, they can make the effort for the fukking Finals.

Yeah, man, ever since the league introduced sponsorship it’s become more like European soccer with all of the goofy logos on the jerseys and all over the fukking court
It’s just wild how they are doing so little for the NBA finals but they hype up that fakkits ass midseason league tournament thing with those ugly court colors

Some of my favorite, the league and its partners have just gone away from good marketing. Even shoe companies used to make great commercial but have stopped. It isn't a priority anymore, they rather invite Kai Cenat court side so they can post it on IG

If the league tried to market this as some grand event, folks would say it doesn’t have the same feel because of the two teams involved. You had a vocal majority on this board even before we knew who’d be in the Finals saying nobody will give a fukk about it if Indiana and OKC were the two teams.
You don’t have to look too far to see on here what posters think of the respective personalities of Shai and Halliburton. Some pre-game theatrics to hype them up isn’t going to change the perception everyone has of them already.
Haliburton still gonna be seen as a front running, too happy ass fake superstar and Shai still gonna be seen as a boring, foul grifting 2-guard masquerading as a PG.
