People can go on about Obama’s move to raise the minimum wage (which I support), but it is a fact that Obama has increased the wealth of the rich even faster than Bush II did, and that median household income in America has actually dropped under him. And this many years after his election, no, it’s not all Bush’s fault. Obama deliberately chose policies and personnel like Bernanke, Summer and Geithner who would, predictably (because I and others did predict it) increase inequality.

You forgot the golden rule of politics. If it's negative, absolve all responsibility and if it's positive, take all credit. Notice he chose his words carefully on the recent melee. He isn't worried about the political backlash for himself so much as he is worried how it will affect other Democrats. The poor rollout of the ACA has Democrats shook and their popularity has taken a hit. Elections are close. Honestly, who shuts down part of their bill to save face? Why roll it out at all if you are gonna pull these stunts? They've given their enemies so much fodder over the last year it's insane.
As far as him doing for black people, I personally have been telling folks he was more on White's sides than on blacks. Especially when all the black people on his staff kept getting thrown under the bus. That was a major nikka wake up call that alot of people glossed over. Not me. Huge red flag. The constant excuses being made by us while he flagrantly did for others didn't help either.

For all you kats still crying about an unproductive congress....pull up the voting records and quit letting the media steer you with talking points. When the Democrats had a majority they still weren't getting bills through. They were obsessing over the ACA. That's pretty much all they have obsessed over. That's why they are hurting so politically. Even with the House having the seats they have....Democrats could still get things through if they had the votes of their own party. That's what snagged them most of the time. It should go without saying that the opposing side won't back you on bills just because. The Democrats surely didn't do so for Bush. OAN I do see where you're coming from on one angle. It's not a bad bill just because it came from Obama....at the same time it's not a good bill just because either. Politics has becomes to black and white with folks. I almost see why politicians behave as they do. We collectively created this environment.

Young black men are getting killed in the streets of major cities by police and there is mass civil unrest with police using military grade hardware to suppress peoples first amendment rights. Add to that, there is looting and the situation may spread to other jurisdictions.
