What y'all know about Frusen Glädjé? :lawd:

The mainstays in our freezer was usually Breyer's (the least at first due to price), Dolly Madison, and there was a direct competitor to Breyer's who's name I can't recall at this moment. I don't think that brand exists anymore. Breyer'a became thee mainstay later on starting around 91 when our financial situation got a little bit better. My mom loves Breyer's so once we hit that tax bracket, that's all we'd buy (with a Haagen Dazs changeup every so often).

When times were really tough, we had the pleasure of looking forward to White Rose or store brand. :francis:

It's crazy how only certain brands were acceptable when you were a kid due to advertising and the fact that it wasn't your money paying for it. Nowadays all it takes is a tub of Great Value Rocky Road in the freezer to get my iced cream jones going ! :banderas:
