If heaven is supposed to be an abode of eternal happiness and/or peace, then the problem arises that happiness and peace can't be "experienced" without the existence of their polar opposites ie; despair / chaos. When you concede that, is heaven really worthy of the name? Can't one achieve "heaven" in this life itself?

Right now I'm in a phase where I believe in God and Christianity and I'm trying to live righteously but it's more because I don't want to be BBQ Chicken in hell more than because I love God. I'm just being honest



As for why we exist on earth I'd like to believe it's so that we can do what we love. Making bonds with people, enjoying nature, creating things, etc.
