Imagine being a young married couple trying to buy a home in the dc area. :mjcry:

Imagine entering the workforce between 2005-14. :mjcry:

Imagine being stuck at a bullshyt job because of real economic anxiety and not being able to work in the industry you wanted. :mjcry:

That skill development is gone. That earning potential is gone.

A generation of people got fukked and it will get worse.

I wanted to work on Wall Street growing up :pachaha:

People around the world with a lot less than your average America aren’t offing themselves in record numbers.

It’s deeper than economics.

We're being poisoned by our profits-over-food-safefy food economy. It's not about just being unhealthy, now it's literal poison.

I'll say this. Honestly, this ecomony has been great for me and my family (I hate property taxes in NJ, but who doesn't). . . BUT I can totally see and understand how and why it isn't for others. Either you're doing decent or having a really hard time right now. Everything is overpriced and either you have a decent job and or your own business OR you're job sucks and you are overworked. That's depressing.

I think it’s more that that fall has become easier than the climb.

Just like college cost, the social safety nets like healthcare aren’t keeping up with cost.

So many people are Lyft drivers or making grub hub runs on the side happy for a quick 100 bucks for two hours of work.

When I was a kid, those were holiday type jobs. Make a quick few bucks for gifts or vacation. This permanent second job to pay bills isn’t what it seems.
