Say what you want about the Hogans/Rocks/Austins of the world but HHH is the only one who can say he literally took over the whole wrestling business. He also married into a family worth hundreds of millions of dollars. At times billions. He's literally the most successful wrestler ever. He beat the game (:youngsabo:).

And there's nothing you can do :banderas:

He's not hundreds of millions though. And he has to answer to the board, Vince, and Stephanie. And when Vince finally goes down, the company will never be seen in the same light ever again.

That was the draw that austin started, he was on ppv posters while on the shelf, and they peaked even higher when austin returned....business was hot because rock and austin. It stayed hot, and got hotter when austin returned.

At no time did they CHOOSE to go with HHH over either of those guys.

I'm not denying Austin helped kick it off nor am I saying that they chose HHH as the guy, but the summer of 2000 produced some of the best business ever. Its just wrong to say HHH has nothing to do with it or wasn't superstar status. He was right in the thick of things and was the heel that people wanted to see Rock beat

Not when it's Austin or Rock....People would pay money and show up to see them talk shyt on the mic and beat down random scrubs.

And if you really wanna be real about HHH wasn't the top heel during the attitude era, Rock was.

:what: the fukk are you saying Rock was full blown babyface by fall 98. I don't even count that feud with Foley because he was still getting face chants. The quintessential, die hard true heel was HHH

No..you're thinking of Hollywood Hogan from the 90s who DREW big and Flair from the 80s who had the south on lock. Corporate Rock outdrew Austin in 1999. Those are HUGE heel draws. Cripple H was not an equal or bigger than the Rock or Austin from 1999-2001. He never was. You know that:laugh: Why are you acting so silly?

Yes and the time period we are talking about now makes that shyt look like childs play. And 2000 was a bigger year then 1999. Do you deny that?

Most of us aren't saying HHH wasn't a superstar or played no role in the company's success. But he damn sure at no point during his career was on Rock or Austin's level. Was he working with them? No shyt, but he was never as important to the company nor as big of a star as either of those guys.

Big a star no but important to the company yes. I view it like the Bulls and Heat in the East. The knicks, Pacers, and Nets are right with them to give them the competition they need. And then theres everyone else

Working mainly with who? Come on you can say

Let's see..the Rock was working with everyone at Rumble 2000
He worked with Big Show at NWO
He worked with Cripple H who came out to silence, Foley, and Big Show at Mania 2000..and it was really all about the Rock, Vince, and him Rock Bottoming Stephanie
Rock and Austin took the lead at Backlash 2000 as the reactions and untouched pops proved yet again
Rock as champion vs Cripple H in a Iron Man match
Rock teaming with Taker and Kane was the draw of King of the Ring
Rock vs Benoit did better than King of the Ring which had Cripple H in the match
Rock vs Angle and Cripple H was positioned as a story about the love triangle but the fans made it about the Rock again no selling the stupid shyt
Rock vs Benoit vs Taker vs Kane in the Fatal Fourway....Cripple H was in a love story with Angle..lol
Rock vs Angle headlined No Mercy and that was really about Rock and Rikishi
Survivor Series was about Rock and Rikishi and Austin vs Cripple H
HIAC with Rock/Austin/Angle/Cripple H/Taker/Rikishi

Point is..they didn't do anything significant without Rock being involved..he was tossed into the Jericho and Cripple H feud..tossed into the who ran Austin over story....all of that shyt. Involved in Taker's return..Austin's return...he was the centerpiece in things making money and getting things over.

So basically without you saying it, HHH was involved in the top storylines as the main heel. Thank you and drive home safely friend

How is that possible. Austin sold more merch and ppvs?

  • Survivor series 98; rock joins corporation.....austin sold the ppv and put over mankind.
  • In your house rock bottom....rock as CHAMPION wasnt even the main event. Who was? Austin v taker.
  • Rumble 99 was 100% about austin and vince. Rock does not main event..again..as champiom.
  • Massacre....stone cold vs vince...rock does not main event...again...and has a draw vs foley.
  • Mania they faced each other and austin went over and was on the poster. He was the draw.
  • Backlash...same thing.
Dont say shyt about hhh revisionist hitory when you do the same thing.

How when he was sidelining while Rock was the champion? On the other hand..when he was champion, during his Foley feud or whatnot, it revolved around the Rock in one form or another. They had the Rock come out at the Rumble and knock the shyt out of Cripple H for no reason when he tried to copy the Rock/Foley 99 spot.
