I love how HHH stay havin smarks on here

Guess the truth hurts, the only people who were ever THE guys in the company were Andre Hogan HBK Bret Austin Rock HHH Cena and Orton. Funny the arguments cats is makin against HHH applies to Undertaker cause even tho he was around for most of those eras he was never #1 there was always someone else who had the top spot.

Stupid argument he made....

During the Monday night wars the guys he mentioned couldn't have been "The ONE" simply because Rock and Austin were by FAR the biggest best names on the planet at the time.

Once Rock and Austin left it was hard for anyone else to break through because some big nosed cocksucker stayed with his foot on everybodies neck so he could secure his spot.

I aint even a big Edge fan but he could have been a lot huger than he was if not for Hunter constantly sabotaging his runs. Same goes for Jericho, when Y2J was at his peak of popularity Hunter was sabotaging him backstage.

He was right about RVD though, he wasn't built to be THE top guy.
:umad:He can't keep his foot on everyone's neck if he's not the one, they couldn't break thru cause he was the top dog and the fact he was able to sabotage them says it all.

Hunter was never the one. He was just forced down our throats as a faux one.
If they forced him down our throats then that makes him the one, whoever they constantly book as champion have in big storylines and put over most of the time is the definition of the one the only faux ones are the nikkas smarks dikkride like Punk/Bryan.:manny:

Hell no he's never been their peer, no matter how much he tries to retroactively inflate his legacy.

Rock and Austin had to left and HHH had the entire company to himself to carry and what happened? One of the darkest fukking periods in WWE history. shyt would have been a complete disaster if not for the piff that was happening on Smackdown.

The simple fact that HHH is still trying to play catch up to this day proves that.

It's "Rock & Austin" not "Rock, Austin, and HHH".....Dude is second tier status and needs to just accept that and move on.
:stopitslime:The only muhfukkas tryna rewrite history is yall butthurt smarks still mad at shyt he did as a heel over a decade ago, casual wrestlin fans (aka the majority) viewed him as on the same level as Rock and Austin back then along wit the Undertaker yall need to accept that and move on cause whinin on the internet ain't gonna change nothin.

Y'all gotta keep in mind that any promo HHH cuts in the ring is all about selling the next PPV.

His job right now is to reinforce the storyline that he doesn't believe Bryan is an A-level player. That he looks down at Bryan. Looks down, because he (in his mind) is above Bryan.

He does that by equating himself with Rock, Austin, etc. Since no one in the audience would take him seriously if he shyt on Rock or Austin, he shyts on convenient targets like RVD, Edge and Jericho (who are all currently popular babyface characters, incidentally). It pisses off not only the casuals but also the smarks. This all makes him a bigger heel. The kind of heel everyone will want Bryan to prove wrong.

I don't believe for a second that HHH truly feels he was as big a star as Rock or Austin. But selling himself as their equal, and selling himself as being above that Edge-Jericho-RVD "second tier", is what's best for business at the moment. It's smart. And it may very well be leading to HHH vs. Bryan.

Technically he held that spot for a few years because Rock and Austin moved on.....and like I said earlier when he held that spot it was one the worst periods in WWE history. It took HBK coming back for Raw to even be watchable during that period.

Anybody trying to claim Hunter was on Rock or Austin's level is out of they fukking mind. Even in his prime HHH was a VERY distant third behind those two.

That's completely irrelevant. They're selling PPVs.

If you think he's saying that shyt "Just to sell PPV's" you're bugging. He's been trying to link himself with Rock & Austin for YEARS both on TV and in various interviews.

That's stupid. I was around for all of HHH's runs and they were garbage. He wasn't drawing. The difference is people will turn in to see what Punk and Bryan will do next. No one gave a shyt about HHH is doing next week and that's been the state of the business since he was awarded the WHC. No one turns in for one specific worker (except maybe some kids for Cena). People turned in back then for Monday Night Raw, no one gave a shyt about the HHH show. He's rode a train of nostalgia throughout his run and crashed it right into a brick wall of unover babyfaces and bad ratings...that he himself created. You see the difference between your Rockys, Austins, and Hogans is that people care about them. People wanted to see them. They put asses in seats and people in front of tubes. HHH turned people away from the product. He wasn't the one at the time. The company was the one at the time. Until Cena came through and crushed the buildings that is. Don't try and rewrite history like HHH was a top draw or that he was even WWE Champion because he was handed a big gold belt and the people screamed bullshyt. If you're gonna be the one, you should atleast have a fanbase who says, "Yeah, this guy has it". Hunter never had that...EVER..he had McMahon and some steroids and said, "Hey i'll make your daughter buff, make me champ"

And don't say Smark...thats like the Smarkiest thing you can do

That's my point. I mean technically everyone he named was the man at one point but Triple H was never that big of a draw. He could never carry a company alone

Perfect breakdown. The thing I don't like is HHH and Stephanie are the only ones kept strong while they were hammering on Bryan for being a B+ player, pointing out his flaws and having the heels beat him down. After Bryan caught fire organically, it feels like they're content to piss all over it. If Big Show beats HHH, it'll do nothing for Bryan. He needs to beat Randy on Sunday and then beat HHH down the line. If not and they keep fukking the fans like they have done so far, they'll start seeing him as a guy who really can't get it done.

Thank you breh. :salute:Totally agree that there needs to be a big Bryan payoff after this build. I'm assuming (and hoping) there will be.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I know Trips will catch a lot of hate... but I agree with him ESPECIALLY on Edge. He was nothing but a super regular wrestler who just happened to leave condoms in Matt Hardy's baby seat. But on the other hand, Chris Jericho I believe was more than capable to carry the company should both Rock and Austin both been out during the Attitude Era, and by the time they did leave the WWE had already made fresh new stars (Cena/Batista/Orton... etc) to do that job.

No doubt, it's absolutely true. But it's funny to hear Triple H act like he was the guy. He was probably the most over face in the company when he came back from that first quad injury when he got that INSANE pop in MSG. They went with him, gave him the Rumble victory, and put him over Jericho in the main event in the last match against Jericho and he fizzled out afterwards and had to turn heel to revive his career. So he's no bigger.

I mean, the wrestlers that were the ONE, the GUY, how many can we say that about?

Hogan
Flair
Austin
Rock
Cena

HBK/Sting is arguable, but they never had that mainstream crossover... Savage was never really the one either, and Warrior's run fizzled out with the quickness. He had 6 or 7 month reign when when he beat Hogan til he lost it to Slaughter who then dropped it back to Hogan.
