Houston
@Geoffrey_Chaucer you gon take me shopping in Northpark center boo?

:takedat:

Government officials estimate that the drive from Dallas to Houston, which now takes about four hours, could take six hours by 2035. They estimate the average speed on I-45 between the two cities will drop from 60 mph to 40 mph over that time.
:mjcry:
Too many folks moving to our state, messing up our occupancy rates and traffic.

Rosenbreg's, Rosenberg's...1825, Tulane
City of Arlington, not the privately owned Texas Rangers. private companies can't take privately owned land without local or state government involved in the situation.
and the STATE of Texas can do the same on the companies behalf:upsetfavre:

jus like arlington did

In the Silver Lining
Needs to be Maglev.....still doing 150 year old technology in the era of smart phones...and cars that are about to be driving themselves....... :beli:. I mean its better than nothing, and is a great look, but DC to Baltimore Maglev train being proposed right now will do those 40 miles in 15 mins......see this thread http://www.thecoli.com/threads/magl...shington-to-baltimore-trip-at-311-mph.260731/

Let's do the math if Maglev were used in both corridors

DC-Bmore 40 miles in 15 minutes
Houston-Dallas 240 miles ???????????? 90 minutes??.........too.. ok..nevermind. So as far as speed, the Maglev is equal to High Speed for Houston to Dallas :ohhh:

I'm thinking, the reason is because there are no stops, and few curves, and clear right of way.

So I can't justify Maglev on speed alone......but I'm thinking on a larger nationwide level, maglev would be better. Anyway....:yeshrug:
