Needs to be Maglev.....still doing 150 year old technology in the era of smart phones...and cars that are about to be driving themselves....... . Let's do the math if Maglev were used in both corridors

DC-Bmore 40 miles in 15 minutes
Houston-Dallas 240 miles ???????????? 90 minutes??.........too.. ok..nevermind. So as far as speed, the Maglev is equal to High Speed for Houston to Dallas

I'm thinking, the reason is because there are no stops, and few curves, and clear right of way.

So I can't justify Maglev on speed alone......but I'm thinking on a larger nationwide level, maglev would be better. Anyway....
