Well I'm not sure what this "pro business/deregulation" approach actually consists of besides a few shytty executive orders since he hasn't passed anything else . But even if he had I doubt it would affect the economy this soon.

So no, he's just in the right place at the right time. He's no more responsible for this economy than Obama is for the recession.

As far as Trump himself... we are getting pretty much what I expected.

I can appreciate that by the virtue of being a political outsider Trump's presidency exposed a lot of problems in the political system as well as the media. Each strategy is invariably intertwined with the financial backings and media control behind and the politicians in front.
