This isn't about ME. THIS is about hip hop, esst coast bias, illmatic etc. No, ilmmatic shouldn't of got 5 mics regardless. All while better albums in the same era, from different regions, couldn't get their just due. I bring up her name, because the and nikkas that give credence to her bullshyt, would laugh if any Asian chic, Asian man etc was held up as a viable voice judging hip hop. It's pathetic. If Vlad, right now, made any list about hip hop, grading albums or artists, ya'll would dismiss him even quicker than i dismiss HER.

This has nothing to do with Hip Hop and everything to do with your own agenda against Miss Info and Illmatic. If your issue was with Asians having a viable voice in Hip Hop, you'd be pointing out more than just Miss Info. Furthermore, race is irrelevant especially in this case because she didn't have a say in the rating as you've been told numerous times.

a lot of movies and music were shytting on until years later people recognized them as great. Notably, most black horror films. I saw Def By Temptation at the theater in early 1990 and I saw Tales from the Hook in 1995. Both films were shytted on by the media and you know once the white media shyts on something, nikkas gotta follow. Decades later, both are seen as black classics and everyone is acting like they loved the film all along.

And historically speaking I can't think of any Asian having a opinion on hip hop that held ANY weight. With the exception of the illmatic 5 mic fluff piece by Miss info. If you can name anyone, please do. Anytime you speak as much as Vlad, you're subject to be wrong occasionally. Understandable. I definitely value his opion more than ole girl. He's definitely far more relevant to the culture than she ever was.

The 96 album was when everyone got on the Nas bandwagon

That is what blew him up, a lot went back after that to hear Illmatic infact... Not saying all because some hip hop heads no doubt knew Nas and Illmatic but honestly in the mid 90s there was other stuff out at the time getting a lot more attention (Wu Tang, BIG etc.) and Nas kind of was in the background on that end.

She didn’t decide how many mics the album received. She was assigned to write the review.
Just think about this logically for a second. Do you think the Source, or any music publication, would let review writers determine the mics solely? You are aware of the no 5 mics rule right? How could that rule exist if the review writers were solely responsible for awarding mics?

Illmatic still a classic and better than every Pac album

I'm a HUGE Nas fan but I'm not sure I could go that far. I would have MATW and AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted above Illmatic if I ever made a definitive list for myself.
