Senator Bernie Sanders defended Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard on Twitter tonight days after Hillary Clinton‘s comments about Russia.

To briefly recap: Clinton said that Russia’s “grooming” a candidate in the 2020 race to run third-party, and a subsequent statement from a Clinton spokesperson made it clear she was referencing Gabbard.

Gabbard shot back in a statement calling Clinton the “queen of warmongers” and essentially daring her to get into the race.

Sanders tonight tweeted in defense of Gabbard (who supported him in the 2016 race), saying, “Tulsi Gabbard has put her life on the line to defend this country. People can disagree on issues, but it is outrageous for anyone to suggest that Tulsi is a foreign asset.”

Kyle with multiple good points. But my favorite: So true that Hillary COULD be lending her celebrity and influence to a worthy cause she cares about like poor children or universal healthcare. Instead she comes out of the blue to call a member of the military a Russian asset.
And it is abundantly clear the calls for unity from establishment Dems is bullshyt if they less this aggression stand.
Also, if you want to criticize Tulsi there is plenty available:

• While she successfully shyt on Kamala she gave Biden a pass on his transgressions
• Backing off M4A is weak and she just handed in her Progressive credentials with that shyt
• Making Tucker Carlson your go to platform is not it either. You got plenty of Progressive youtubers who would give you a similar platform and have as much if not more reach
• Turning your campaign into one publicity stunt after another is not becoming. It hurts how serious people need to take you.
