I wish it could change in 5 years, but it wont it will be exactly as it is now. For Hiphop to change in 5 years, the momentum for change needed to be implemented about 10 years ago.

So lets see 2003, the rapper on top does not have the equal MC skills to match his dominance and the South begin to take over.

Want good hiphop, turn your back on mixtapes and stop praising mediocrity.

Real hiphop will fade away and become more underground. Only big pushed acts that have crossover appeal (like Drake and Kanye) will exist in mainstream. Rap will be more and more combined with other musicstyles, mostly dance/techno. Make me feel sad and old. Well at least we had a great 25 year...

Rappers are giving away free classic albums in the form of mixtapes now. No Label pressure or influence = :lawd:

As an MC 'words are your weapons' ...... everyone is rapping now from justin bieber to miley cyrus. These mixtapes are full of just rhymes, there is no groundbreaking lyricism or mic cadence in the form of illmatic/wu/etc.

So if you are yet to drop an album but got a dozen mixtapes you dont have shyt to say and you dont respect the craft, you're looking for promo and in it for the money and fame.

Once upon a time, a rapper would not waste his '16 bars' ..... now you got so much mediocre rhymes coming from a bunch of no good MC's you cant sort out the good shyt from trash.

Mixtapes is the reason, you are not a serious MC and have a bunch of mixtapes you are just a mere rapper. There have been no classic albums, no classic lyrics ... even great artist of past are now content babbling.

fck mixtapes, and fck the appraisal of mediocre shyt.

rhyming aint hard, now say some dope shyt.

It will continue to get worst with a little glimmer of hope.

All my GOAT rappers will be around 45.

I will continue to listen to my 90s Hip-Hop collection and yearn for the nostalgia.

I'll be 33 :ohhh:

:snoop: what the fukk are you talking about? You sound stupid as shyt

Everybody has a mixtape so they can get attention to get signed to put out an album. nikkas don't just start their career off already signed and able to put an album out :what:

You gon tell nikkas like Drake, Big Krit, Wale, Kid Cudi, shyt just about every rapper they don't respect the craft because they have a mixtape? If they didn't have those mixtapes they wouldn't have gotten signed in the first place.

No wonder you already got a red bar

There is no anticipation to hear anything from these new cats. Kid Cudi got on from Kanye West affiliation, Drake from Young Money affiliation. When Joe Cole dropped his debut album all his fans said it was weak, they heard all that shyt before he had nothing to rap about.

DMX got put on by dropping hot features, same with big pun, mase, nas, etc.

If i hear a hot track from you maybe 2 or 3 singles, and a handfull of 16's ... I will be highly eager to cop your album because that is all i need to tell your dope and it builds you up 'less is more'

These dudes got a dozen mixtape, what else you got to say ? Why would i expect anything different in your LP .... It just shows me your content with just stringing words together over any beat and hook.

Make you a hot commodity, if you are whoring yourselves over all these mixtapes you step into the game a C-List rapper. I know Jimmy Iovine or any exec or A&R cant be co-signing this shyt.

Rap is garbage because the one of the most important part of Rap Music, is the 'wonder of words' you got a dozen mixtape and no LP or shopping for a deal, i dont need to wonder anymore .... your probably average or trash.

:to: respect the art, thats why all leading rappers now wanna sing.

+ I got that red bar, from Nas stans when i said that new joint with scarface is weak and the premise has been done to death. smh.
