If hip hop can't get back to incorporating wisdom & guidance, it won't make it into the new reality.

Currently, it's not fit for survival. All trauma, no therapist.

We need more positivity and uplifting pushed onto the mainstream, the real stuff isn’t in the public it’s always overlooked by the negativity. Guys like Cole, Kendrick, Nipsey, all pushed motivation. We need that now more than ever. Eventually it will change.

It’s disappointing, but then again if they ill equipped to speak on shyt then it’s best that they say nothin. Also, Hip Hop culture at one point policed itself thanks to the fans so those emcees that actually have something to say would get more support and a bigger platform because of it. Nowadays, as a collective we’ve allowed that aspect of Hip Hop to erode and nearly die off.

There’s still room amongst the younger generation to be that kinda artist. And I think if one came out that genuinely took that approach but still made good versatile music they’d get support. But for now the oldheads gone speak I guess.

Even Yelawolf is speaking out against the police, not sure if it’s only to promote his shirt but it’s something.
