The issue is trolling fans being dominant... probably because of the internet.

Peak Soulja Boy in 2008 when many big time rappers jumped on turn my swag on remix Soulja Boy wasn't being pushed as the top rapper. No one was saying LL Cool J scaring the hoes music and Soulja Boy is king, lol!!! Soulja had a lane...but he wasn't up there with Jeezy, TI, Wayne, Jay, Nas, Lupe, Kanye, Fab, Jadakiss, Cam'Ron etc.
Bolded is very, very underrated and is a HUGE issue

Again, me being 32 you're speaking on my era. You do realize Lil B was the one that really started the trash rap troll fans wave right? nikka was legit GARBAGE but everyone swore up and down he was the truth. I'd be listening to that shyt like :why:

This dude was MAJOR when I was in college. After I saw how popular he got back when hip hop was still supposed to be thorough I saw the writing on the wall. Anybody from my era talking bout the good ol days is fulla shyt, and anybody older ain't that much better

ok ok this is 🔥 I'm adding bruh shyt to my "listen to" playlist.

My only problem with this guy is.

It onky works for his three videos after I spin macula by father Kane.

Imo tho.

He is rhe best Pimp character rapper ever tho.
When people tell you to listen to pimp music. Or cliche west coast music after ice t. This is what should be suggested as the pinnacle. I will say that.
Past that on his own.
I have not had him in my personal daily rotation.
Yet he is in that same fun Playlist of shyt.
that includes riff raff and other play play type rappers vids I have on Playlist.

U can't do it knees would give out they make it look easy :francis:

It is also very clearly hip-hop :francis:

It is actually an iteration of house and footwork a d house and footwork are not hiphop a s distinctly juxtaposed. Plus they have music from Chicago gangsters and Chicago gangsters have never been apart of hiphop in Chicago in the new school way of thought. Gangsters are and still are house. Which is why gangsta rap is and has always been an oxy moron in hiphop culture since schooly d.

The serial killer shyt was never accepted and been outlawed since xraided.

So people who know hiphop history and are bboys are not going.

The Lil B trolls was on SOHH too. Along with the Plies (yes, he has some good songs) Goons that overrated plies and said we don't understand Goon Music etc. Jeezy Trapstars that shytted on anything conscious a couple years prior.

And several years prior the Dipset Movement that had half of SOHH posting posting in pink and using their slang for several years, Kufi smacking and hating on Gnause because Nas called out Cam'Ron to step his game up. And Jay-Z was Joe Camel in a business suit and Jordan on the Wizards because of kingdom Come. And Jay was still called a swagger jacker on SOHH until American Gangster came out.

I only picked Soulja name because the turn my swag on remix brought out the heavy weights, but proper perspective was put on Soulja online and real life.

I can tell by some of the posts in here that there’s some dudes older than they’ve mentioned that they’re faking the funk on liking new music and have convinced themselves that everything they’re listening to is hot :mjlol: You’re 28 or 32 and hyping up stuff targeting 16 year old white women:laff:

The other issue, imo. And this issue is on social media and the coli.

"I don't care... I like the beats...I need new workout music for my playlist...it's a vibe...this off key auto tune is melodic....I don't know how people listen to that rapitty rap"

Less is more with lyrics in many cases...but wordplay be damned now in days is troubling. It's no way people in general sit down with hip hop any more....it's elevator music to people's lives.

Get a little polish? Ice Spice rhyme scheme is so ridiculous she can't even keep up with her own style without getting tired and having to resort to shaking her ass to get through her music.

And this is what I'm talking about. People like this getting pushed to the masses who have no lyrical skill.

Lyrics, Wordplay, Storytelling, that's the genesis of Rap Music. Not the bullshyt that's passing for Rap Music today.

I was going to give you a pass with this, thinking these were legitimate clothing lines. It's your run of the mill iron press, 3d-printed nonsense that people try to pass as fashion. No real effort involved. Just generic hoodies, t-shirts and jogger pants.

Everybody think they a fashion designer with this bullshyt. Like o said before, the current and past generation have ruined Hip Hop. None of what you posted represents Hip Hop at it's core. Not even your movies.

None of these wack ass rappers today can compete with this. Real Hip Hop.

That girl was new to performing people will always prefer listenable music over lyrically dense music she has a sound that works for her and makes catchy music for her demographic which is Gen Z and under women primarily.

Also, these girls in the Bronx are rapping with lyricism and flows Ice Spice popped because she made the most mainstream friendly music but out the scene she is far from the best pure rapper.

Lol dude your opinion on the clothes is irrelevant those are black owned brands and they went against that shyt you typed earlier about fashion todays fashion trends are not yesterdays fashion trends and y'all wore a lot of bullshyt back then so don't give me that. Also, Barriers is dope not sure how a fashion line dedicated to black icons is wack I personally own their Duke Ellington hoodie they need to come down on those prices though.

This Brother is defending Ice Spice.....

The music, just like the fashion, is trash because it is clear there is no serious effort being put into these things.

Just because someone plasters some Black Icons on a shirt does not make them a fashion designer. The shyt looks cheap and tacky, just calling it what it is. I have some real dope Malcolm X and Black History Hoodies that put your Barriers brand to shame, and I only paid $30-$40 for them. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

I understand you gotta defend your generation's artistic expressions, but at least be honest about things. There is a whole lot I don't respect during my Era, all that gangster rap, bytches ain't shyt nonsense, the rappers featured on RnB songs. I'll give you an example, Big L:

"I'm catching bodies like a villain supposed to/And I squeeze triggers not just on nikkas but hoes too"

He had a song called The Devil's Son, and people want to act surprised he got shot up in an alleyway.

Hip Hop is always supposed to be positive, I dont care who disagrees.

:mjlol: 32 but I remember being a young nikka and seeing the cool old heads that stayed in their lane and let nikkas cook vs the ones that started yelling at clouds telling kids to get off they grass before they even turned 40.

I've changed a lot of my ways from youth, but I'll never ever pretend like I wasn't young before. nikkas can't accept that hip hop is a young man's game even though the rules were established a long time ago; The same people these dudes praise are the same ones responsible for the game being the way it is, and that's a FACT.

breh I'm in my 30s.....this never happened in my neck of the woods....

I got put onto the 90s shyt from the older heads / clubbing and in barbershops and shyt we would be spinning new mixtapes and rocking out. This whole regional old vs young thing I've only seen on the coli.

me and my homies can all spit gimme the loot word for word :russ:

That’s the thing about the current gen and current gen adjacents — they don’t know how to look at themselves in the mirror, they just take everything as offensive.

I have no problem with Ice Spice :manny:

Everyone knows what drives prices in fashion is cachet and exclusivity and hip hop always been about the trend. The Barriers hoodies uses a different fabric, is wider, and is cut different at the bottom. It doesn’t matter though because that wasn’t the argument, the argument was about whether the fashion was coming from the culture and it is regardless of how you think it looks. Y’all wore a lot of bullshyt back in the day.

As for the content of modern day hip-hop it’s deplorable I admit that hip-hop hasn’t been a predominantly positive genre in a very long time :manny:

Lyrics are powerful too. Alot of people don't realize this fact

Music is meant to be listened to. It's consumed consciously and subconsciously

It's not an accident that the people who listen to low vibrational shyt "for the beats" live low vibrational lives

hip hop/rap music is evolving/changing. but i wouldnt say it is changing to something better. and it is very likely the zenith of hip hop/rap was around 3 decades ago.
He basically bit speaker knockaz(rip) but with way less charisma
