So what OP is saying is big artists haven't dropped in a while? And other people posted evidence that last time they were being active, hip hop was running the billboard like never before...so what is op talking about? :manny:
bro outside of drake and kendrick no big artist has had any hit thats stuck for 2 years, start thinking about it. and big people have dropped in that period. eminem, playboy cardi .

Before this time too it wasnt just albums, songs were made and charting from all types of artists NBA youngboi roddy juice ect theres nothing being played on radio or top of spoitfy really

im not saying you're totally wrong but the climate feels way diff

I think most of y’all like too many crossover main stream artist.

I always been a fan of more UNDERGROUND hip-hop which is truly that….

HIP-HOP.

I just discovered some cat named Gekibot and I’m feeling his shyt….

Reminds me of some shyt I used to listen to from 2001-2007
the other day I heard Bianary star for the first time in like a decade or two and it blew me lol. classic

tyler didnt drop a "rap" album this year, his only charting song right now is rnb
post is not hip hop and has not made a remotly hip hop album in 7 years

shsaboozey is legit country? cuz someones black they are hip hop?

gunna is on his opening week. what will stick?

you gotta think before you post brother lol I dont even one of your points here is accurate

if tyler would have dropped a rap album (whatever you want to classify it, he is hip hop culture) it would have did the same thing.
post is part of the hip hop culture whether you lke it or not
shaboozy - read his biographies i didn't make ish up
you didn't address the kpop

the only way my post is not accurate is if you are in your feelings and not wanting to recognize facts brother
you are basically failing to recognize the culture is all over the chart and cherry picking because your specific subgenre/favorite may be missing from it

:scust: :mjlol:no bro posts country album not part of the hip hop culture. k pop is for sure influenced but again not what anyone would classify as the genre

shaboozy? lol these are not even pop hip hop acts they dont make hip hop music at all anymore or never did

To me the genre has been stagnating after Kanyes peak

Kendrick has his lane and he is fantastic but hip hop as far as creativity and quality reached its summit.

Proud to have been a supporter for MANY years but sad to see where things went

Around trap & mumble is where i got lost in the shuffle and i dont see it making a comeback

Theres some good stuff in the underground but as far as mainstream COMPARED TO 1988 - 2006, you can stick a fork in it...

Agreed. Hip-hop was healthy up to the early 00s but after that....

it's the most musically bankrupt genre right now

artist who are totally inept skill wise

even down to the motherfukkers who are supposed to be composing the score

it's just fools getting high throwing shyte at the wall & whatever sticks sticks

less & less real music lovers who are building on inspiration from everything available

it's just a way for attention addicts to chase a fix

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I'm SO happy that I haven't depended on mainstream hip hop artists for a minute now so now it just feels normal to me. Add to the fact that battle basically fukked mainstream hip hop all up. It is what it is tho cause this shyt needed a reset anyway. Maybe all the fakes will move the fukk on.
