There's also albums that are not meant to be sonicaly perfect, and the producer and engineer purposly record them tracks with dirt because the artist want it to sound grimy. That's the case with Illmatic, 36th chambers and east coast 90's albums in general

Recently, Good Kid MAAD City and Take Care were well mixed albums.

Of course The Chronic stands up 20 years after, it didn't even need to be re-mastered really.

There's a difference between good mixing and just making the mix loud. Some of these albums posted so far are just mixed loud.
