There's also albums that are not meant to be sonicaly perfect, and the producer and engineer purposly record them tracks with dirt because the artist want it to sound grimy. That's the case with Illmatic, 36th chambers and east coast 90's albums in general

definitely. AEOM is hands down light years ahead of any of his other albums sonically and production wise.
