That 1st one and the last 2 aren't Latino tfYeah i feel you. Exactly why they aren't a race. It's more of a cultural identity than genetics. Part of being hispanic by definition is speaking spanish and the other is your ancestral geographical ties with latin america.
Haitians are latino by definition and if they can speak spanish they are hispanic.

They're already being incorporated into the white establishment, I mean the ones that are white. Someone posted a thread about this on the root recently.
Ethnicity is not race though. Two people can be of the same ethnicity while being of different races or mixure of races. Ethnicity has to do with nationality, naturalization, region, culture, etc. Race is your anthropological attributes.

I'm "Hispanic" according to the US census because I have a parent (grandparents count, too) who was from a Spanish speaking country in Latin America (Central). I'm also black according to the census.
I only identify as African American because that's the culture I was raised in. Basically, I'm the product of two people of the same race but different ethnicities. These are simple concepts, it's not hard to grasp.
