In the census in 2000 there were 1,241,685 Cuban Americans, and in the 2010 census there were 1,785,547 (both native and foreign born), and
represented 3.5% of all Hispanics, and 0.58% of the US population. 983,147 were born abroad in Cuba, 628,331 were U.S born and of the 1.6 million, 415,212 were
not U.S citizens.
[26] In the 2013 ACS, there were 2,013,155 Cuban Americans. The
2010 US Census shows that 85% report of Cubans that immigrated to the USA from Cuba identify as being white.
