Germany was in the wrong, insofar as any nation could be. Austria-Hungary probably even more so. There’s a whole complicated story behind it, but in a nutshell I think just boils down to this:

Austria-Hungary had wanted a war with Serbia for some time as a means of preserving a dying Habsburg Empire. The Germans needed to support the Habsburgs, since Austria-Hungary was its biggest ally in Europe and a buffer against the Russian Empire. The assassination of Franz Ferdinand gave Austria-Hungary the pretext it needed for that war, but they weren’t going to take any action without Berlin’s approval. Germany gave Austria-Hungary that approval – i.e. the “blank cheque” – and Austria proceeded to declare war on Serbia, setting off the chain of events that resulted in WWI.

Germany enabled Austria to go to war against Serbia. Germany was also the country that declared war on Russia and France and invaded Belgium, bringing the UK into it. So while there’s a complex political situation in Europe involving geo-political alliances, imperialism, etc., in each one of the big steps that led to the war, you can see that Germany and Austria-Hungary were the aggressors.

Falsehood.

You’re forgetting that Serbian militarists armed and trained the Black Hand who killed the heir to the Austrian-Hungarian Empire.

Austria’s response in 1914 was entirely expected if you murder the heir to their empire. You’re overlooking Russia’s support of murderous Slavic nationalists (Serbia).

Propaganda painted the Germans as the aggressors. It was Serbia’s fault!

You're right about Germany not being at fault, but I don' even think It was Serbia's fault.

1) It was never proven that Princip worked for Serbian intelligence.

2) Serbia accepted all Austria Hungary condition, except the most humiliating one.
3) Even if, Franz Ferdinand did not get killed that day, the war would've broken out for another reason another day.

This is a very one-sided version of the story.

One example, just a couple months before the war, the French Prime minister went to Russia to assure them of France support.. knowing that Russia was supporting Serbia against Austria Hungary. In reality warmongers were everywhere, and they all had their reasons.

I know about that theory but it was never proven that the Serbian government was behind the all thing.

People wanted war in Europe, the assassination of Franz Ferdinand was just a go. If it wasn't that, it would've been something else the next day or the day after.

I didn't forget that. I just don't think it mattered that much.

Conrad and Berchtold wanted a war with Serbia before Ferdinand's assassination and had been agitating for it. The Habsburg monarchy didn't particularly care about Ferdinand, and viewed his assis. Even so, they presented the Serbs with a list of demands following the assassination and the Serbs agreed to all but one of them. It didn't matter, because Austria-Hungary wanted a war.

Well, yeah, because France and Russia already had a military alliance. You leave your allies hanging, and you prove yourself an untrustworthy ally. That's just basic geopolitics.

And again, Germany declared war on Russia and France, not the other way around. Germany invaded a neutral country, Belgium, even after the UK threatened war should it do so. No nation is 100% innocent, obviously, but Germany was the country that actively took the steps to turn a Balkan conflict into a worldwide one.

Also, Germany could have stopped Austria-Hungary before any of this happened, but instead gave the Habsburgs their full support.

I always assumed Germany was the aggressor
They were. Kaiser Wilhelm and his boys had been planning an invasion of France for more than ten years. The war didn't happen because some random prince of a jabroni country got assassinated. German military leadership and the aristocracy designed their war plans for a decade and believed it would all be over in 40 days.

And frankly, France wanted the smoke too.
