And then China comes in and exerts its influence and that wont be good for anyone
Not over us they won't. Global power shifts don't happen over night. The key is starting a global black economy and we be right their to pick up the pieces when the cacs obliterate each other. Or a global black economy will just take their wealth and transfer it to us anyways.

You think so, I don't. I don't think Britain really wanted to fight a war. WW1 bankrupted them, and it started the rise of the United States as the worlds #1 power. Without WW1 Britain would still be the powerhouse it was to this day, the US would of eventually caught them though. They lost they whole empire cause of that war.
Britain had interests/colonies in Asia and didnt want or need Russia as an enemy in that part of the world..

Also Britain needed access to mainland Europe. Germany having control of French ports would've been bad news for Britain.

Do you think the second largest economy on Earth (at the time) should not have built a navy?

Why does Britain get to have a monopoly on naval power?
They wanted to control very important water routes which effect the global economy such as the straight of Hamuz(sp) whoever controls that one area will control most of the worlds oil supply. Case in point the conflict that Britain has right now with Iran over this same area :francis:. America and Russia are really the ones fighting but doing it through other nations.

And as a result, a ground already dry with the blood of millions was paved for a non descript painter of unremarkable talent to feed off the desperation of the humbled and hungry masses of a bankrupt Germany. :francis:

Basically. They set the ground stage for that crazy motherfukker to come to power. Lose a future King, have two rivals dare you do something about it, try to fight said rivals only to have all hell break lose and get absolutely worked and destroyed while you have to pay obscene amounts of money in penalties afterward. Obviously not excusing Hitler. They went WAY LEFT there. But you can see how everything led up to the events of WWII.

So? Britain wanted that control too, from the Ottoman Empire.

This thread is disturbingly pro British and anti German

Who did Japan want to colonize? And who did Africans ally with to fight against colonialism?
The Africans didn’t get to ally w anyone. They mostly were force to fight for their colonizers and against each other.

Japan wasn’t really colonizing anyone during WW1. But the Euros had colonies in Asia like in Africa. And like Africa the Asians were forced to fight for their colonizers and against each other
