What the hell do you mean so many failed duplicates? You can see a natural progression of pyramid building by looking at the ruins of the earliest pyramids that weren't built correctly. You can see the progression where the egyptians learned from previous mistakes. We really DO know who built them and how they were built. Funk doc already talked about this succinctly.
There were no mummies or "treasures" found because the pyramids were probably LOOTED.
It's ludicrous to think aliens took any part in building pyramids. There is no logical purpose why an Alien race would do this. If you look at how humans treat each other on this planet, you really think Aliens would give a fukk about us or would want to actually interact with us? We'd be intellectual ants.
