So J Cole is gonna sell more than Jeezy, Ross, 2 Chains, etc.? Roc Nation must be doing that soundscan trick.

:comeon: stop hating cole built a fan base up and he definitely has more cross over appeal than those artists you mentioned . If roc nation was doing soundscan tricks where are all the other roc nation successes?

Cole fan base is mainly young black women, who don't like the negative ratchet, strip club music, that's been ringing off for the last few years

:lupe: went gold twice off the same fan base, he just. Lost the will to make radio friendly singles and atlantic did everything they could to stall his career.

If you go to either shows its mainly black women :manny:

The ironic thing is cole songs he's always saying he won't save a hoe or he doesn't fall in love :yeshrug:
Yup...this niccas fan base consists of a few hip hop heads, college kids and young black women. It's a good look for him because theses females buy the records, so his following will be heavily reflected in his sales. Personally nothing about homie appeals to me at all, but props to this nicca for grabbing that female audience. Dude can eat of the females alone, which is the same thing Wale is doing. Go to a Wale show...shyt is 75% female.

1st, good for Ye and Cole. Now Ye has the critical accliam but the album clearly has had a mixed reaction. With him and Kim having a baby and the controversial nature of the hype and reaction surrounding the album. Mind you "New Slaves" nor "Black Skinhead" shot up the charts like his previous releases. So 350-400k will be a good number for "Yeezus". Now the road the platinum isn't going to be easy. He's going to have to release 2 more songs. "Black Skinhead" is getting more buzz cause of the "Wolf of Wall St" trailer. So we will see.

Now for J. Cole. Wow. Haters going to have to man up. Cause your boy does have a fanbase out there. Also moving his date with "Yeezus" was a brilliant move. Cole and Jay should be commended for that strategy. He sacrificed a possible #1 album and got even more sales out of it. So 275-325 is good for Cole. Both albums have the potential to go Platinum if the right singles are released. KanYe should release "Bound 2" with a video. This song can get urban play as well as mainstream play. Cole should release "Forbidden Fruit" With Kendrick cause of the relateable sample.

J. Cole has been on tour with Drake & Rihanna
been on a song with Beyonce, and is co-signed by Jay-z

Power Trip is the #3 rap song in the country behind the two Macklemore songs.

There's life outside the club scene, just because you don't hear his music there doesn't mean he can't have a fanbase.
