Dre is lazy yeah, but the biggest problem is he won't co sign anybody until they are a proven hitmaker
Basically you need to make hits with other artists and have good features on other nikkas shyt to get Dre's attention if you signed to Aftermath brehs. If Hit man got his hustle on that nikka woulda made it. Game worked to get his shyt out, ain't have nothing to do with Dre not working on an album at the time. Especially when 50 did alot of the production.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The way I wrote that post probably was confusing, my bad.

Right before you replied to me I edited my post and asked:
"I'm not sure where I read it but, I think Dre wanted Rakim to rhyme more about some ignorant, nikka, shyt and ra wasn't with that, and that's the real reason why they parted ways. Is that what ra told you?"
Basically in a nutshell..it was just one of his gripes with Dre..but he said Dre wanted him to rap about some gangsta shyt n ignorant shyt and he wasnt tryna go that route..so they clashed cause he wanted him to be somethin he wasnt...I felt him on that shyt..u dont bring a legendary MC to the studio and try to tell him what to be as an artist like some rookie...

I don't believe that vault stuff.

I do...I make beats just for fun, I have 'em saved on drives and have a GRIP of 'em laying around my house...
I haven't made album 1 yet. If this is what somebody does for a living, it wouldn't surprise me that they have (1)
have a lot, or (2) kept them guarded somewhere.

Dre was relevant in the 80s, 90s, 00s, and today..he's a billionaire and was the single biggest creator and maker of the most classics in hip hop history...what chu done with your life?

i believe it as well....

most artists of any kind have a shytload of "throwaways" meaning they'd never let you hear it.. it's not up to their standards.. but everyone might like them

you'll never just delete your work... so you keep it around... that's where "i recorded 80 tracks for my album" comes from.. 30 might have been good.. 50 were trash or half ass, but you still got them around

i just happen to believe that shyt dre considers trash, is probably shyt we are like :blessed: when we hear it

Aftermath will go down as one of the biggest "what ifs" in rap history. Dre should at least drop a Lost Tapes project on iTunes and let people hear some of those sessions

Could've beat Rawkus and Def Jam for the GOAT record label :wow:
