One the best things about Pac was how he just casually kicked game in his raps and how pretty much everything he said was based on experience as his moods, views and grooves on wax synced up perfect with his life in the moment.

2Pacalypse Now was "I'm trying to find my lane in the rap game".

Strictly 4 My Nz screamed "Did you know I hate the police? By the way F the police".

Thug Life intoned "I'm on on now so here are my friends, they deserve some attention and dividends so I'll use my name to shine a light on em".

Me Against The World relayed "I didn't know the price of fame was so expensive. The walls are closing in and the drugs aren't working. Send help".

All Eyez On Me said "Its a celebration bishes! Look at me and my riches, come party with me and brings friends. You're all welcome".

Makaveli growled "I'm alone. Its dark. I've just realized the price of this path and can see the end of the map but have to keep on steppin".

People can say what they want but there has never been an artist so authentic even though he was a walking contradiction. Thats why people worldwide still spin his discs because the truth is timeless and he said it so direct that you felt it in your chest.

Something something Hennessy and Enemies. :pachaha:

I pick up something new/old every time...most recently a line that got me again was "...I got a Glock that say Pac run the block...."

:whew:

Simple but effective...

I'd put I Gotcha Back up there too

nothing harder than cold harsh realities especially over one of Rza's best beats

And not in an over the top, cartoonish violence kind of way but in the pure fury and rage that saturated Pacs vocal tone as he was throwin darts at his foes in order to vent. Still crystal clear enunciation and wordplay tho.

Also props to Quik for polishing the beat to perfection and Nanci laced the hooks as the perfectly smooth counterpoint vocally:

i used to hate this song when I was younger but now it’s probably one of my favorite PAC songs….

Pac spazzed, beat is legit hard as fukk, and the singing is the cherry on top...

Like this?

You could say that about a lot of Pacs production as it ranged from mediocre to subpar to awesome as he didn't give a what in that respect as it was just about laying the track. MATW has some of the best beats in that sense but even Makaveli proves he could take something basic as hell and make it super dope.

I do wonder what we'd have heard if he was here during the Justice League area of lavish production and aural symphonies over which to tell tales of felonies though.

It is amazing how one artist can turn an average beat to heat and the other can do the flip due to the rhymes they kick. Voice is such a huge component and no one can come close to Pac when it comes to conveying emotion. That is what sets him apart as an MC.

Something something Hennessy and Enemies.

man i forgot all about this album
