Compared to the deep docks they are. I enjoyed both but they definitely require your timing to be on point cause you're also up against time. But the devs showed out on those two.
Mount of Fay barely even had enemies. It's just heavy platform focused. But what you have by then time you reach there, makes it far from insurmountable. And the reward from there practically trivializes the area altogether.

Nobody said it was insurmountable:heh:.....just that it's much more difficult than deep docks. Nothing in this game is insurmountable. The main challenge in mount fay is the freezing aspect. If you make one misstep you have to reset back to a heat lamp. The fact that you're up against time is the main challenge of the whole level.

Yeah, and it's challenge is easily mitigated. Hell, I died more in the deeper sections of Deep Docks just cuz it actually had challenging enemies. Whereas Mount Fay does not.

To be honest I think I beat deep docks my first try. It was just so straight forward to me:yeshrug:.....but I guess it depends on the player. I'm better at fighting enemies than platforming under pressure.

The platforming is only as difficult as the enemies that are in the way in this game. Your traversal kit get so suped up that the platforming is never too hard, it's just constantly engaging. Which is a good thing.
