I rarely use the subway, but when I do i stay far from the edge. I dont trust anyone behind me.

gettin pushed on a subway track is probably one of the worst ways to die :wow:

that wikipedia page is proving the point i was gonna make. mental hospitals are horrible places. patients were abused, forgotten, died, raped, etc. i'd rather mentally unstable roam the streets than live in those prisons.

No, you wouldn't.......

Well, the first thing is to avoid the third rail. If you touch that, it's game over.
Second, drop a backpack if you are carrying it. You can always get it later.
Third, the height of the platform is usually going to be over 4 feet. To get up and out, you would need to squat down, jump up, get your hands in a position to press your body up and out. This is easier said than done if you are out of shape, overweight, super short, have an injury to your body that would make this difficult, or other. You can see in the picture that his shoulders are about the height of the platform.
If you can't make it out, look at the walls around you. They make places for track workers just in case. Run to that indentation in the wall and lean into the wall.

Fuuuuuuuuck that :whew:

Couldn't the dude just run away from the train until it stopped? That would seem more logical.

As long as someone can run fast, couldn't they run far enough til the train stopped?

That picture is horrific man.

God damn, that's just sad.

I`m always weary on the platforms, always have been. That is a "too close to death" area.

NYC gotta step up and install these screen gates.
Every subway station in Korea has these things installed and the govt makes money from the ads.
shyt has flatscreen LCDs and everything. Real time updates on weather, game scores, and etc.
Oh yeah, they have LTE in the subways, too.

Depends, the train comes in pretty fast and slows down fast. You got all those railroad ties so it would not be as easy as you think without tripping. If you have the time, then yes, this would be good to do because they have escape routes in the tunnel for workers.
