NYC gotta step up and install these screen gates.
Every subway station in Korea has these things installed and the govt makes money from the ads.
shyt has flatscreen LCDs and everything. Real time updates on weather, game scores, and etc.
Oh yeah, they have LTE in the subways, too.

What about the outdoor stations?

Also the subway cars in NYC are different sizes so that's really won't work... some cars are 60FT long and some 75FT long, etc.

Maybe if all the subway cars in the system are the same size someday then that might be a feasible idea

i hate the subway for this reason. they need to do something about this subway thing.

there are agents of demons everywhere u go. thankfully we have a sixth sense to help us identify when people aren't right in the head. the signs are there. if someone apppears off somehow, keep ur distance!!!!

You would think they could put railings with areas with slight openings where the doors would stop and the trains could be formatted to stop so the doors are in front of those areas.

But human life isn't as important as keeping the trains on tip-top schedule

considering i'm into programming i might have to look into this. write up a code for the MTA. offer it to them for a very very cheap price. so they can format trains to stop at a specific spot, just like u said. everytime time i hear of this type of deaths it bothers me because this sh1t can happen to anyone.

He had time to zoom in ?

In the camera persons defense. If he had a professional camera a quick twist of the lense and the camera zooms in. Plus there is no depth of field in the picture so the Aperture must have been high...meaning he didn't have to adjust the focus.

But it really wouldn't surprise me if the guy wasn't that far from him cause we're in a society where people would rather capture something tragic on camera than prevent it from happening.

I woulda foolishly tried to grab him up...but common sense tells me that its a possibility that the second person could fall in as well...but adrenalin would have taken over and I wouldn't have thought it through.

They should make all platforms have enough space under it so that if someone falls on the tracks (anywhere on the tracks) they can just run and duck under the platform, after the train arrives and leaves they can come from under the platform and climb out.
