In the modern era (as in the last 60 years), the original sin of the Democratic Party is LBJ signing the 1964 Civil Rights Bill into Law. The next sin was LBJ signing the 1965 Voting Rights Bill into Law. The racist Southern Democrats (Dixiecrats) immediately jumped to the Republican party because of that and the Democrats never got the South back.
Since then, they view Democrat/liberal policies as inclusive to other races which is problematic to the white supremacist cause of only giving resources to whites only. They also view the diversity in the Democratic party, especially the black, Latino, Asian elected officials as problematic because they don't believe any minority should be a position of power. (These are the same type of people that would be ready to burn down their workplace if they had a boss that was non-white. They would rather eat shyt then listen to a black boss, which is why Obama being elected President broke them psychologically)
The diversity in the broader Democratic party, the voter base scares them because they believe demographic changes in the country threaten their way of life and it shrinks the white majority.

Democrats play this game where they have convinced stupid negros that they will completely lose their right to vote so that's the only issue they bring up every election cycle.
White Democrats don't respect Black people or really see them as equals. They don't say it outright but you can see it in their actions. They enable a lot of the ills that have destroyed the Black inner city.
The dixiecrats (super cacs) left the democratic party and went to the republican side.
The parties have flip flopped/realigned several times and the only real difference between them in regards to the black plight is how useful we are to the other party in this game of political football.

The message of "They are trying to replace you" is very effective. Which is why you see them using this same message to try to attract black people. Its effective on a black person whos been on the plantation and too blinded to notice. But for it to work you would have to then also be dumb enough to be blinded by the republicans racism. People who are actively engaged in the Republican party fall in line whereas Democrats have to cater to everyone from your neighbor who "doesn't hate black people but is afraid of them" to the white boys marching with hebrew israelites. It is much harder to have progress with such a wide variety of views, this is why the Republicans get shyt done because no one in that party is in disagreement that the poors and minorities should get screwed over.

Not to mention they didnt have nearly the ammount of experience we had dealing with these bad faith actors.
