John Stockton first 5 years in the league vs Deron Williams 5 years look very comparable (and actually more in favorable for Williams), and there is still a good chance Deron Williams could make the Hall of Fame. Stockton had quick hands and good instincts which allowed him to get steals and therefor put him on the all defensive teams, but the guards in the 90s aren't quite as good as the guards of the 2000s but I will give you the defense for Stockton, but the "high" basketball IQ is bull, he played in Sloan's system and it was proven to work for 23 years at UTAH.
