LOL At the lames trying to justify the Grammys' exclusionary garbage by saying black music (which is by the way the foundation of most of the cac winners' music - even country) is the problem. Mainstream music has rarely been sophisticated but we can honestly say Black music sucks right now.
One of the most sophisticated songs in the 90's was "I'm a bytch". Mainstream is rarely sophisticated.
