then I’m back to square one and confused as to why the OP is treating this like a “gotcha” moment when folks have been saying it’d be on both platforms from the jump...I don’t recall a large faction of ppl thinking/claiming it was gonna be a PS5 exclusive like they did for GOW

When they first revealed the game, it was assumed it was ps5 exclusive and there was no mention of a ps4 version. Sony and the rest of us took a shyt on MS for cross gen only for a couple of years for them to announce Horizon was cross gen at a later date around the time we found out Spiderman MM was cross gen. They advertised GT7 as PS5 exclusive w/ PS5 exclusive on the ads only to announce a PS4 version later. Jim Ryan stressed building from the ground up and not being held back by the PS4 but that was PR Sony knew about cross gen since 2017/2018 when they started developing GOW 2 and Horizon 2

I agree with everything else you said outside of HFW...I don’t recall anyone on here being under any pretense it was gonna be a PS5 exclusive...I’ll check the thread and see

Now that we know this game is coming to PS4 as well, I want to know how they managed to make the game look like this while cross gen because I know it can't look this good on PS4.

It seems like the PS5 version will graphically be next gen but design wise(I assume for parity) will be limited e.g. there won't be super fast flying mounts in game since the PS4 can't stream the assets fast enough.

Graphically the comparisons made a few months ago were crazy.

ya I totally get the history lesson...I remember the slight personal disappointment when it was announced MM wasn’t a PS5 exclusive...but there are already several HFW threads with ppl in those threads already talking about it not being exclusive...when I saw yet another thread, I thought dude posted something I missed
