SotC is in its own lane. Only Dragon's Dogma comes close in that big beast take down aspect but unfortunately they flopped and decided to go MMO instesd of taking chances with a sequel. Do you adjust to the aiming reticle or just stays annoying? I barely played FFXV and i fukking hate it. Do you like FFXV?

Stays like that (white), which is pretty stupid considering they put you in snowy areas and fog. So I guess it was oversight? The aiming is already wonky to begin with, but not being able to change the reticle was annoyng. For me FF15 was the biggest let down of 2016, the gimmick wore thing (teleporting in fights) and the entire Summon gimmick was probably the biggest facepalm in video game history next to the ME3 ending.

The narrative....well, you can go anywhere online and see that its pretty unanimous that everyone hated the lack of story for a AAA game.

so it's the latter of what i said? gotcha....cause you seem to be the only one that feels there is a lack of story and that it's a 'tech demo'....seriously, a 'tech demo'? lol.....and i'm not saying it's a 'magnum opus' of gaming, but who said it had to be to considered a damn good game? which it is.......i gotta remember: we in an internet age of thinking where it's either trash or the greatest thing ever, no in between......

Again this is what it feels like to me....you might be easily placated by certain aspects of the game, and that's fine, but I'm not the only one talking about the lackluster story (statistically it would be impossible to be the only one) you can go on Gamefaqs, Gamespot, IGN, etc and see comments about the story being "boring". Now while I don't find it boring, it is dull, but that's due to the fact that its a very simple vengeance story with no layers.

Like I said, I use the term loosely, obviously games like Watch Dogs and Nioh aren't demo's, but they represent a category of games that clearly left out some polish. The biggest example being Watch Dogs, as the sequel fixed and or tuned everything the previous one dropped the ball on. Like I said, its a good game for a "tech demo". We're still in the very same age wherein people are still placated by fancy graphics and gimmicks, yes I would agree...not everything is "10/10" because you can rely on one gimmick and yet not everything has to be deemed "great" because of said gimmick.

Some games are indeed in between, for me, that would be Horizon.

Story is lacking
Great gameplay - the gimmick actually works and is integral to taking down creatures.
Yet another cac, so I wasn't really invested.
Aiming reticle is atrocious (can't change color from white)
Gets extremely repetitive after a couple of hours of hunting.
Beautiful backdrops and locations
Customization is lacking, though they do tease you with some costumes/armor pieces, it all feels pretty lackluster.

In conclusion; its quite the "tech demo", Horizon 2 is gonna be GOTY easily, but this is just "meh" for me. While taking down creatures feels "epic-ish", its not on the scale of Shadow of the Colossus so don't think you're going to be doing half of the shyt you were doing in that game.

This might be the most culturally diverse big budget game in history.. come on.
