Them dudes don't watch sportsBut gameplay>>>>everything else if you want good story, animations, faces, dialogue, voice acting you can go on Netflix /TypicalExactly.
There's no reason for a AAA game in 2017 to have a shytty story, dialogue, voice acting etc.
that's like saying there's no reason a blockbuster movie should have a shytty story. many do because they can get by with the spectacle of high action, special effects, etcExactly.

Overwatch
Watch Dogs 2
GTA 5 - wherein the only story that matters is Franklin's.
Mafia 3
I think you need to try harder with your google searches .![]()
Overwatch? No
Watch Dogs 2? The game where you're the token black guy?
GTA 5? Don't have to play as two white guys also?
Mafia 3? Don't you have to work with white boys and were clicked up with the white mob before being betrayed? You even have to kill The Haitian chick's people.Maybe in PS4 land, but the clear GOTY amongst the majority of the gaming community is Zelda breh. Get familiar.

HZD has black people in roles that matter and a lot of them run their own shyt. I believe a Spanish dude is the King and a black guy basically becomes your mentor.

not even gonna go through the thread knowing full well it's people arguing Zelda vs Horizon.Again this is what it feels like to me....you might be easily placated by certain aspects of the game, and that's fine, but I'm not the only one talking about the lackluster story (statistically it would be impossible to be the only one) you can go on Gamefaqs, Gamespot, IGN, etc and see comments about the story being "boring". Now while I don't find it boring, it is dull, but that's due to the fact that its a very simple vengeance story with no layers.
Like I said, I use the term loosely, obviously games like Watch Dogs and Nioh aren't demo's, but they represent a category of games that clearly left out some polish. The biggest example being Watch Dogs, as the sequel fixed and or tuned everything the previous one dropped the ball on. Like I said, its a good game for a "tech demo". We're still in the very same age wherein people are still placated by fancy graphics and gimmicks, yes I would agree...not everything is "10/10" because you can rely on one gimmick and yet not everything has to be deemed "great" because of said gimmick.
Some games are indeed in between, for me, that would be Horizon.
'.you might be easily placated by certain aspects of the game..' lol at trying to put yourself on a higher level of gaming compared to me....also lol at trying to be a smartass with the 'statistically it would be impossible to be the only one'....i swear, some of yall try too hard...
anyway, as for the story, you're wrong...i'm not talking about it boring...that's individual and only the person playing can determine if he/she thinks it's boring....i'm talking about the vengeance part....the story isnt a simple vengeance story...vengeance actually plays a minor part in the overall story....the fact you think it plays such a large part shows you either didnt play the game and are going off hearsay; and/or didnt play very far into the game....
as for the rest: if that's how you feel, that's cool....i'm not trying to tell you what to think of the game....just quoted you cause you were incorrect about saying there is a lack of story....
Firstly, relax kid, I'm not putting myself above you, I'm merely stating that for you, its something you value highly...okay...I already addressed that part, you're easily placated, that's fine, its neither bad nor good, it just simply is.
Secondly, the story is ultimately about vengeance, lets not sit here and try to play the whole "did you beat it or not game" that's tiring and a waste of posts. Ultimately HADES is the prime "evil" in the story, her showdown exemplifies that not only that it was a vengeance story, but also one of redemption...with the way it was handled, I felt it lacked any real "gravitas", nothing felt lofty. Sure HADES is the looming danger in the background but nothing felt as heavy as say...the Wild Hunt in Witcher 3. So with all that said, I'm not trying hard, I'm simply trying...telling how ordinary or "decent" a story happens to be, isn't hard for me....
Lastly. You're trying to "correct" me is just a passive aggressive attempt to tell me I'm wrong because I don't share you opinion....nice try, but ultimately for me...(and that's the important part here) the story felt lackluster.
me saying you're wrong has nothing to do with how you feel about the story...i've stated how you feel is how you feel, and that's cool.....i'm saying you're wrong cause you're wrong about the story....it's not about vengeance....while hades does turn out to be the bad guy, he's not doing what he does cause of vengeance....and neither is aloy....that's the only reason i mentioned whether you played the game or not....if you had, you'd know what the story was about....
so yea, you are trying too hard...you're trying to simplify the whole of the story to a minor aspect/part of it to say you didnt like it, when it's not necessary...it's cool to just say you didnt like the story...like i've said: enjoyment is all individual...but it's not cool to lie about the story to try to make a point...
