Step down units don’t house people with no reasons to be in the hospital anymore indefinitely. That’s not their purpose. They are for people no longer needing a certain level of care but not ready for discharge. Once you’re medically stable hospitals can and will discharge you anywhere.

It’s crazy that people don’t understand this

ATL, but rasied in DMV
I remember hearing about an incident like this that involved a brother being left on the steps of Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, about 20 miles south of Atlanta. This happened around 2004 or 2005, a year or two before I moved down here. They wouldn't accept him in the emergency room because he didn't have insurance. So they left him outside, and he died on the steps. So this really isn't anything new. Not being here when this happened, I don't know if he wound up outside because they told him to leave, or if they physically removed him. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter, and they had the guards do it...and those guards won't hesitate neither, especially those Black guards, even after they become their friend in the waiting room. That's a sickness by itself :unimpressed:

"Greatest country in the world!" shouts a slovenly obese diabetic wearing a Trump hat and riding a lawnmower because he lost his license driving drunk.

To clarify, Laughing at the people of KY that keep voting in these anti-human/pro-harm republicans.

The cruelty is the point.

They want people to suffer.

On Healthcare specifically - Why Doesn’t America Have Universal Health Care? One Word: Race (Published 2019)

But in general, if Black people could be helped, or better could be hurt - white folks and the honorary whites - love to hurt us.

KY, TX, MI, AL, FL, the liberals in SF and NYC that don't want to build dense housing - it's all about hurting BLACK people.
fukk they mean the people they supposed to hurt wtf?! And see they just like us ultimately, which we all on the outside looking in, but they’ll just Vite another republican rather than saying fukk republicans. Say way we do with dems.

as a former resident of louisville, the massive spike in homeless people was something i saw in real time. @Starboy52 and @Flu Game502 shyt has gotten worse i imagine since i left in 2016

I try to tell Conservatives that America stopped investing and looking out for the worker class and unhoused, sickly, drug addicts are one of the many results :francis:

If motherfukkers are homeless and have no health insurance in Louisville then that tells you there are massive holes in the system :francis:
