The responses make it sound like people only respond to the headline and not the video itself.

In terms of pure lyricism Em could easily rap circles around Jay and always could. Jay can make better songs than Em and always has.

If were talking about just handing someone a microphone and having them rap...that's no long what rap was about...arguably never was. It's about can you enjoy their bodies of work. This is not about a battle, party, or cipher but rather how much we like listening to the music created.

Pac is greater than anyone else imo.

With Rakim I feel his stubbornness, inability to adapt, introverted personality, and other factors stopped him from having the run he could have. Ra's music does not stand the test of time and have the appeal of certain people that came after him as far as I am concerned.

Nas is one of the best selling rappers ever. Illmatic still sells. Well past platinum. It was written, I am, and Stillmatic were multi. Nastradamus and God's son went platinum as well. Nas never had to do a collaboration album with the biggest r&b singer biggest rapper to get himself sales. Nas has sold over 15 million records. Nas was successful for years before Jay even came out and continued to outsell him for years after. If we take out the samsung numbers MCHG did just alright numbers.

Not clicking but I assume Rosenberg shat on Nas. Whose side did Ebro take?

Let's not forget Rosenberg shat on Ether while interviewing Hov a few years ago. He's always been on this bandwagon of fukkery. Nevermind Ether is almost universally considered the better DISS. We're not talking what the better song is.

BTW I guarantee you if Drake comes back at Pusha, Rosenberg will start the "well, Adoninon isn't really a SONG, so therefore I think Drake just might take this..." bandwagon. Everything he says and does is predicated on access. He has no access to Nas, so he shyts on him. He has semi access to Hov, so he kisses his ass in hopes of getting more access.

Takeover was more scathing to Prodigy than to Nas... the Ballerina pic and all...

Ether was a nonstop barrage on Jay's whole existence... :scusthov:

And personalities saying Ether was just "gay jokes and childish shyt" lately, is retarded.

She probably had Jay sign a prenup the way she was cakin
They actually did have a prenup. Jay has to pay her for each child she has. And Beyonce gets paid for every year they are together. So he is literally paying her to be married to him and have his children.
Rapper Jay-Z and singer Beyoncé reportedly signed a prenup that gives her $5 million for each child they have together. The prenup also stipulated that Beyonce would receive $10 million if the marriage ended before two years and $1 million a year for every year they remained married up to 15 years.

Didn't Lil Cease say the same thing:heh:?
That would be irrelevant to this convo since whether he went platinum first or not,Biggie still wasn't bigger than Snoop.
When Pac became king he became king of everywhere, unlike Biggie according to Mega and real life experience.
Going plat in NY is easy when you have a concentrated media campaign crowning you in order to bring the city back to the forefront.
And its easier when you are essentially a creation in the same vein as Drake.
Unless you can tell me what hits Biggie created himself, that weren't orchestrated by world renound hit maker Puff Daddy.
Matter of fact Drake has probably been responsible for more of his hits than Biggie early on:mjlol:

definitely not saying Biggie doesn't write his rhymes here.

I hate you slick nikkas:scust:

What you are essentially saying,is that Beyonce who is worth close to half a billion dollars, instead of divorcing Hov before 2 years and getting 10 million. She decided to pop out a few babies, and stay with him for nearly 2 decades so she could get that extra 5 million:laff:,plus the 15 for the kids
You really talking about Beyonce like a greedy bum bytch like she couldn't make that ammount of money in a year or less, through easier means than fukking a nikka she wasn't attracted to every night and having his seeds:martin:
You should be ashamed of that post you just made, not to mention that shyt probably ain't true.

nas been over this beef since like 04. whenever people ask him about it in interviews he seems to bristle, saying it was an epic moment for hip hop but they've both moved on.

he still gets begged to do it but sometimes he'll just do the chorus and the DJ plays the gunshots w/out the "fukk jay z"

I won't bother going through the trouble trying to find receipts either, when has anybody ever given you receipts and you admit you were wrong about anything. You'll just call Cease a bum,we've all been down this road with you before:martin:
Biggie was not the overall number one rapper during that period, tell me how he established that.

Snoop Dogg Murder Was The Case Oct 1994
In the United States, on the chart dated November 5, 1994, Murder Was the Case debuted on the Billboard 200 at number one, powered by first week sales 329,000 units. The album opened at the top spot of the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
The following week it stayed on top with 197,000 copies sold and was certified Gold. The album is certified 2x platinum with 2,030,000 copies sold.

2pac MATW March 1995
The album debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart and stayed there for 4 weeks straight, it sold 240,000 copies in the first week, and became certified double platinum by the end of the year.[41][42] Likewise, it also debuted at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, thus giving 2Pac the first number one album on both R&B and Pop charts.

Biggie RTD Sept 1994
The album shipped 57,000 units in its first week of release.[45] However, it was then certified Gold by the RIAA only two months after its release on November 16, 1994, and was certified double Platinum on October 16, 1995, only a year and one month after its release

Method Man Tical Nov 1994
Tical was a commercial success, reaching number 4 on the Billboard 200, and number one on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. On January 18, 1995, the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and on July 13, 1995, the record was certified platinum for the shipment of one million copies in the United States

Biggie was a talented creation but still a creation,my Drake comparison is clear in that regard. A creation by the NY media, chosen to get the push as push back against the west coast dominance. As well as a musical creation, given hits by Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy. This is a knock on BIggie as all other goats are self made.
Biggie gets credit for being above Nas and Jay in real time, but they get credit for being self made goats. It's up for everyone else to decide what they put more stock into.
