Hot take: I don’t like the song “Thriller”

Never really liked “Thriller” as a song, it was always about the video and choreography for me. I absolutely hate hearing it in a mix (party, gym, radio) and it’s not a song that should get played beyond the month of October.

I'll take it another step further. Jam, Black or White, Just Good Friends are some other wack ass songs he dropped in his prime. I also hate all his attempts at remaking Human Nature. Heal the World, Earth Song etc all of them joints are instant skips.

I never got that impression that he was trying to remake Human Nature.

If anything, those “save the world” type songs was him trying to do another We Are the World, which is a top 10 single all time in terms of sales.

Man in the Mirror is in the same vein, but that’s one of my favorites from MJ.

it's like the rocky horror picture show. does anybody actually think that is a great movie? it's just something you use to get active and do stuff. it has its value but not as normal listening music.

This. It's "Big Show" music that is built around the production. If you strip it down to just lyrics and melody, there are much stronger songs on the album.

Vincent Price takes it over the top and nearly saves it, and the laugh is the best part. The song itself

If we are being real, its the weakest song on the album. I can see why people like the song but to me, its overrated as a song. Its really okay.

I agree...but I can see why people like the song. I like it on Halloween and during this time....other than that...I don't play the song. Love the choreography tho.

She sings like a goat, can’t dance, don’t write her own music, just completely manufactured. One of the pop stars that needed the media, unlike MJ, who the media needed.

Oddly enough, I’m kinda with you on this one. Thriller is the GOAT music video, but the song itself only really hits around October IMO.
