Nothing is more hilarious to me than setting arbitrary hard deadlines for no reason. They could have actually taken their time to hash out a good. But they didn't!![]()

Oh it's going to be lit. Republicans are literally handing democrats and easy way out of the failure of identity politics by fukking over everyone who isn't rich.I think the plan was to always rush through some fukkery and hide it behind early presidency good will for Trump.......
Who could of guessed he would blow through that in less than 4 months ......
besides people who actually paid attention to him
That shyt is DOA. For it to get through House it would be way to extreme for the moderate Republican Senators to pass. They actually have enough Dems in their jurisdiction to kick them out and tend to be smarter and can see the fukkery for what it is

Don't count them out yet. They have the following tactics left:
- Put fear into the hearts of those wavering Republicans by threatening to take away money or to primary them
- Threatening phone calls (orchestrated by Trump repubs) from constituents to harass them and make them fold
- Cowardice from not knowing how to stand up to their own party for an extended period of time
- Wavering republicans get angry at the anti-republican sentiment from dems and media and decide to vote yes to spite them
- Trump siccing his alt-right followers on them for maximum discomfort
- Trump Special Attack: Russians threaten to kill those dissenting republicans and their family
I have a sickening feeling that this bill in its most monstrous form will be passed.

I am actually ok with Identity politics I just think to many poor and working class whites forgot their identity as poor and working class whites and started identifying with rich people because they have the hobbies of hunting and golf in common

This! So much this! Somehow people have convinced themselves that being poor and working class isn't an identity the same as being a woman, or black etc. Somehow the term identity politics over this last cycle only applies if you're talking about women's or LBGTQ issues.
It's funny because at the core most coli members preach identity politics (if it isn't helping black folks then it's worthless and we should only work to improve black lives), but one of the largest complaints they had about this last election was the democrats focus on identity politics. Certainly identity politics wasn't the issue, it was probably more of the intersectionality of that turned coli posters away. That is to say, I want to focus on black/minority issues but don't include Gays, feminist, Mexicans, Cubans in my plight or I'm unhappy.Eh, identity politics has its downsides, too. It's very useful for analysis and necessary to deal with historical issues and grievances, but I think taken to its extreme it will wind up creating unnecessary divisions.
I understand this might be a heretical belief here, though.
