I don’t think Kansas or Iowa state is academically strong enough to join the big 10 plus neither school is a big TV market ( Maryland DC, Rutgers NY) that’s why the big 10 didn’t pick up Missouri when Missouri wanted to join the big 10 before joining the SEC
Iowa State is academically strong enough. Kansas can always run to the Pac 12 who needs Basketball

They are AAU.... ISU is now formidable in big money generating sports and Kansas has basketball.

Texas & Oklahoma is leaving... if the B1G wants to get to 16, they are going to have to take those. It's not OU & Texas, but....

these offenses have made that shyt all a moot point. Even Bama gets torched on defense playing those offenses with good teams/talents. OU and Texas def have the horses to do so.

They are not used to the grind. The first time one of those two come off a big game and lose to one of the Mississippi schools, then they will understand.

Have them like :picard:

they don't care though.

my point was more about the whole we play defense in the SEC. If you are a good team, it's hard to stop you even if you got the horses of a program like Bama. No one plays the style where you can be shutdown anymore unless you are playing a school with lesser talent.

What’s the deal with teams not wanting other teams in their state to join their conference? They be like Hell Naw.

A&M gotta know they if those teams really wanted in their 1 vote ain’t gonna do nothing. There’s too much money on the table.

This is why that reporter from Houston leaked the story. They don't want OU & Texas in the SEC. A&M is talking to any SEC school that will listen to vote "NO"

SEC has their "Gentleman's Agreement" not to allow multiple schools from the same state into the conference... it's the partially reason why... except Alabama and Mississippi doesn't have multiple teams from Georgia, Florida & South Carolina in the SEC (Georgia Tech left for the ACC & Florida State turned the invite). They do it for competitive recruiting advantages.

A&M is trying to get these school to not allow OU & Texas in.

Yeah, defense has changed. But there are still some good defenses in the SEC that can make it very hard to do what you want to do.

Conference isn't led by Bama and LSU. You might think that way because of football being the most visible sport. Everybody agrees on how the conference operates and really the Commissioner's office is running the decisions. It's all run to be as fair as possible to everybody. Texas and OU seem to want to have advantages wherever they are at. They won't be getting more money or more of anything than anybody else. Vanderbilt literally gets everything everybody else gets and they aren't competitive at all in the major sports at the moment other than baseball.
LSU is top 3 in every SEC sport. Number 1 overall if we combine them

This shyt was a leak in order for A&M to get a lobby and get sympathy for votes to keep OU & Texas out....

And it's looking like Missouri & LSU may be on board with "NO" notes.
if so, you would think Arkansas will also say no and that's all A&M needs. If that happens, look for the Big 10 or Pac 12 to start looking. Either way, the big 12 is cooked.
