I'm sorry to say brehs but Houston is not a good city. Yes there's a large black population, women are great...but as a city its basically non functional. Not walkable at all and have to drive everywhere, traffic everywhere, too humid most of the year, gets hit by Hurricanes occasionally, energy grid is shyt, groceries aren't cheap, nikkas unemployed riding bikes around...sad shyt to see. The only thing you might argue is that housing is decently cheap, lots of land available to build a custom home. That's all it has going for it.

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
This speaks volumes to the current state of the economic system in this country. The 4th largest city in the richest nation on earth that has a heavy healthcare and energy processing background doesn’t have enough mid to high paying jobs? Is it the jobs that are missing or is it skilled labor that is lacking? Or is it both and we’re seeing the effects of large corporations outsourcing these positions for cheaper labor?
Jobs underpay. For instance, my job would put me in the 6 figure bracket in any other state that has state taxes.

Houston is still a great place.

Especially if you have a little money, but you probably do best in areas like Pearland or outerskirts.

I still love it. Everything you said about Houston tho is same for Dallas. Maybe just in smaller numbers

Which side :jbhmm: cuz westheimer long as hell

Start by Upper Kirby by Lamar High School, it's clean. By the time you hit the Galleria, it's fukked up. Then when you get to Briar Forest, it cleans up again. But by the time you hit SWAT, It's fukked up again.

That's Westheimer in a nutshell.

It's bad all over but the politicians will only make things worse by raising government fees

Relax. To say the city is non-function is just false. You just can't come down here without a car and expect to get around. You know how much land and property this city and adjacent cities there are that connects everything (Katy, Spring, Pearland, Cypress, Kingwood, Jersey Village, etc.)? Aint no way you building a decent public transit around all that shyt. The weather is nuts but for the most part we good outside the summer (which has been mild as hell this year). People only remember the shyt that makes headlines during the freeze when the power went out (my neighborhood was back up the next day, and the Hurricane from last year power was out for 1 day) Get a generator and you good. I don't know where the grocery shyt came from. Our shyt aint no higher than just about anywhere else. Get a Sam's or Costco card stock up and you good. What side of town you see nikkas riding around on bikes like that? Unless you in Third Ward/Yellowstone or Gulf Bank with a bunch of broke unemployed nikkas who aint doing shyt or up to no good. The only place you really see a ton of homeless dudes under freeways is by the Minute Mid/Daiken Park/Toyota Center (ironically where the pic in the article is showing). You are right about the property though. shyt is cheap as hell to build your own spot especially in neighborhoods like Sienna Plantation, Lake Olympia, Lakeshore Harbour. I just chill at the house in my backyard (great view)or do lounges/cigar bars/sports bar close to it.
City aint all bad but I want these new nikkas to go back where they came from. Its too damn crowded. Can't even get down Emancipation on weekends b/c its too many broke nikkas (who not from here) walking around fukkin it up for everybody.

Only place I saw some questionable characters last time I was in Houston was around South Park.
People were walking in front and in between cars at the traffic light. That was wild
That won't generally happen in Dallas.

Houston just has some older areas but bc it's so big it cant all be uodated, whereas Dallas is more concentrated downtown in one main area.
