What's the added aesthetic value of a 2 point shot compared to a 3 point shot?

The game is better if there are more teams with different strategies. Clashing styles lead to great match ups in just about every sport, e.g. Manny vs Floyd, Federer vs Nadal. Rockets and Grizzlies are also just opposite styles.

Why would you want everyone playing the same way? Long as the games can be competitive, which they obviously can, it's good for the sport.

It's a risk vs reward thing. I never said anything about all the teams playing the same. The problem is that per 85 shots the 3 pointer should not be a better option than a 2 point shot and that is where we are at right now.

Co-sign. I watched the entire game. shyt was an abomination. Wolves suck on defense so they helped make the Rockets look good. I don't think I ever saw as many uncontested layups as there was in the game.

I personally hope the NBA does something about this. Hoisting up 3s and only taking layups is NOT basketball. I know this bullshyt will get exposed in the playoffs but for the enjoyment of the regular season, the NBA needs to change the rules. They need to move the line back and re-institute hand checking.

What we are watching right now with the teams like the Rockets is NOT basketball.
