I used to work for a utility in the SouthEast. And from the reports I've seen the entire power grid in Texas could fail.

Perfect storm when that states power grid is Independent. Which is plain dumb that they aren't tied to one of the National grids.

I'm sure someone did some forecasting that this was possible. But they probably did a cost benefit analysis and decided it wasn't worth spending money to prepare for it.

I live in Katy and we lost power about 2:00 am this morning and haven’t had power since. This is total bullshyt.
